Recreate the Look – Entryway Table

Recreate the Look – Entryway Table

I am a huge fan of the recent Studio McGee styles that are all over social media, but not quite a fan of the price tag for their products. Luckily I’ve been able to find a lot of very similar items on Amazon to get the same look on a budget. I came across this entryway table styling inspo photo from Studio McGee below and thought it would be great for a ‘Recreate the Look‘ project.

Check out the full breakdown for this project below or browse our Amazon shopping list for all of the items you would need to recreate this entryway table look!

Entryway Table

The Lanka Console table in the photo from Studio McGee is absolutely gorgeous. But it is also very hard to find and rather expensive. Designer entryway tables like this can range from $500-$2,000 easily, so finding affordable dupes always feels like a steal. The three tables I found on Amazon below have a very similar look but will only cost you a fraction of the designer price. You can even swap out the hardware to some gold knobs or pulls to really nail the design!

Rug

Depending on the space of your entryway, you can go with a hallway runner or a 4×6 rug. There are many affordable stores online to get rugs these days, but I have been pleasantly surprised with the last few I ordered from Amazon. The three rugs below are similar to the Studio McGee look, and each style comes in a few different sizes to work with your space.

Baskets

Baskets are such a decorating staple and you probably already have quite a few around the house. In the inspo photo they used two larger white-washed wicker baskets, but really any style basket would work for this look. Just make sure to measure the shelf area of your table that they will be sitting on to make sure you get the right size. Here are three options on Amazon with a similar look and decent price point.

And if you don’t already have items you need to store in your entryway in these baskets, styling with a nice textured throw blanket is always a good look. Here are my three current favorite throws on Amazon.

Lamp

In this photo, Studio McGee went with a wide based tall lamp and kept the color very neutral. A nice texture lamp base with a an off-white shade is another decorating staple that could be used in any room of the house. Here are three similar options on Amazon at varying price points.

Table Decor

For this design look we will want to keep the decor on the entryway table simple yet functional. The inspo photo only has three elements – decorative books, florals, and vases. Since this table will be by the front door, adding a small bowl to collect keys or sunglasses or other personal items would be a useful addition! Here are some affordable options for these decor elements.

Florals

The first two are faux florals, and the last option is a glass vase similar to the one in the inspo photo if you prefer to keep fresh florals displayed.

Decor Books

Stick with the black/white/grey color scheme for this design if you already have some decorative coffee table books that would work for this look. Or here are some options on Amazon of some real and faux decor books.

Vases

The vases used in the inspo photo look like antique watering cans. If you are up for the challenge, see if you can thrift some similar cans and spray paint them grey or black! But if you prefer to order online, here are some alternative options. Unfortunately I couldn’t find an exact match for the watering cans on Amazon, but these vases will still go well with the look we are trying to achieve.

Bowls

Remember, this piece is not shown in the inspo photo so it is optional! I recommend adding a bowl to this look if you are needing a place to collect keys, sunglasses, etc by the front door. Add some functionality but keeping with the overall design.

Wall Art

The last piece (but most important in my opinion) is the wall art! The inspo photo shows a black and white scenic photo with a white matte and black frame. This would be a great place to incorporate a photo of your own or choose a print online that inspires you. Just print your photo in black and white and pair with a simple black frame with white matting to get this same look!

Or if you prefer to purchase art prints, here are a few similar pieces. Remember to check for sizing – how much wall space are you working with? How long is your console table? Make sure to take these measurements and choose a frame size that will fit nicely centered in your space.

Put it all together and you have a Studio McGee style dupe for your entryway table! Let me know in the comments if you replicate this look in your home!
